Whittle & Stitch products are available at The Sparta Store. This line includes handcrafted clocks and embroidered dish towels in traditional Swedish craft style. Out of place? Not really. Sharon Halsey’s family is from “Little Sweden”, Lindsborg, Kansas.

The Sparta Store carries a line of local souvenirs designed and printed in Alleghany County, including mugs, mousepads, coasters, tiles, greeting cards, magnets, Christmas ornaments, license plates and much more.

Sparta Revitalization Committee –
The Sparta Store is the exclusive downtown merchant for the SRC’s commemorative Alleghany afghans. The SRC works throughout the year to keep the town looking great. They do everything from keeping up the planters in town to decorating for Christmas to coordinating the parades at Independence Day and Thanksgiving.
Alleghany Historical-Genealogical Society –
We carry all AHGS books, as well as the DVD of downtown Sparta and the ’39 World’s Fair made from movies by, then Spartan Theater owner, Ben Reeves.
Alleghany County Sesquicentennial Committee –
2009 is Alleghany’s 150th anniversary year and the Sesquicentennial Committee is working to promote celebrations throughout the year and around the county. The Sparta Store has Sesquicentennial souvenirs available that support the upcoming events.
